The <a title=\"NSAL\" href=\"http:\/\/www.arts-nsal.org\/ChapterPage.asp?id=2\" target=\"_blank\">National Society of Arts and Letters<\/a> is dedicated to assisting young artists in developing their professional careers. Since its founding, the chapter has awarded more than $500,000 to emerging young artists preparing for professional careers.<\/p>\n<p>Update: The top two winners were 1) Emily Levin, harp, student of Susann McDonald; and 2) Ilya\u00a0<em><\/em>Friedberg, piano, student of Menahem Pressler. The competition was at an extraordinarily high level, and all contestants were accomplished musicians. Congrats to all who played.
